This is one of the most common questions that I get in the office. “What type of pillow should I use?” Unfortunately, this is a difficult question to answer. The reason…a pillow that works great for me, might cause you additional neck pain. As most of you already know, finding the perfect pillow can be a daunting task.

Finding the perfect pillow can sometimes feel like you’re in the Goldilocks story. That expensive memory foam pillow may be too soft…and that cheap pillow you bought on sale is too firm. Check out the link below and read more about these top-rated pillows and hopefully, you’ll be able to find the one that’s JUST RIGHT!
Here are a few tips to keep in mind when looking for that perfect pillow. The best position to sleep is flat on your back. If you are a side-sleeper, try to develop the habit of sleeping with a smaller pillow tucked between your knees to balance your hips. In addition, when side-sleeping do not tuck your arm underneath the pillow. This can lead to additional neck and shoulder conditions. Lastly, NEVER sleep on your stomach.
